Bio Class III Isolators

Class III Biosafety isolators are fully enclosed glovebox systems that separate the operator and outside environment from the hazardous materials inside. These systems differ from biosafety cabinets, which are typically modified versions of Class I or II cabinets and therefore not designed for complete containment.

MBRAUN uses a different approach. Our Class III biosafety isolator designs begin with containment as the objective.

A built-in air handling unit with automated pressure control and protection against glove breach via an influx of air at more than 0.7 meter per second
Ergonomic glove ports for ease of use and extended operator movement
Double H14 high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration with safe-change filters
A single-piece welded body with radius ball corners for fast and thorough cleaning
