The MB-UV-Cure is part of the MBRAUN encapsulation process tool series specifically designed for applications in the organic electronics marketplace. The basic function is to encapsulate rigid substrates with a cover glass under ambient pressure conditions using a high intensity UV source.
All core components are integrated into a bench mounted, rigid and hinged safety enclosure with a black frosted varnishing to reduce reflections and to protect the operator from intense UV radiation. For restricted space conditions a ceiling mounted version is available.
Having been designed to cure areas up to 80 x 80 mm this system is the ideal choice for the cost-orientated user looking for basic glass-2-glass encapsulation of OLED, PLEDs or OPVs under inert environments. After placing the cover glass/substrate stack onto a height adjustable stage, the hinged cover is closed and the top-mounted high intensity UV-Source is switched on curing the adhesive between both glasses.
With its optimized reflector geometry uniform intensities throughout the entire curing area are achieved resulting in good curing results within seconds. An integrated elapsed hour counter shows replacement intervals of the UV lamp.
